Happy Mother’s Day Ma!!

Most Gracious Heavenly Father,
We thank You for our mothers to whom You have entrusted the care of every precious human life from its very beginning in the womb.

You have given to woman the capacity of participating with You in the creation of new life. Grant that every woman may come to understand the full meaning of that blessing, which gives her an unlimited capacity for selfless love for every child she may be privileged to bear, and for all Your children.

Watch over every mother who is with child, strengthen her faith in Your fatherly care and love for her and for her unborn baby. Give her courage in times of fear or pain, understanding in times of uncertainty and doubt, and hope in times of trouble. Grant her joy in the birth of her child.

To mothers You have given the great privilege and responsibility of being a child’s first teacher and spiritual guide. Grant that all mothers may worthily foster the faith of their children, following the example of Mary, Elizabeth, and other holy women who follow Christ. Help mothers to grow daily in knowledge and understanding of Your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and grant them the wisdom to impart this knowledge faithfully to their children, and to all who depend upon them.

Assist all “spiritual mothers”, those who, though they may have no children of their own, nevertheless selflessly care for the children of others — of every age and state in life. Grant that they may know the joy of fulfilling this motherly calling of women, whether in teaching, nursing, religious life, or in other work which recognizes and fosters the true dignity of every human being created in Your image and likeness.

We beseech You to send Your Holy Spirit, the Comforter, to all mothers who sorrow for children that have died, are ill or estranged from their families, or who are in trouble or danger of any kind. Help grieving mothers to rely on Your tender mercy and fatherly love for all your children.

We ask your blessing on all those to whom You have entrusted motherhood. May Your Holy Spirit constantly inspire and strengthen them. May they ever follow the example of Mary, mother of Our Lord, and imitate her fidelity, her humility, and her self-giving love. May all mothers receive Your Grace abundantly in this earthly life, and may they look forward to eternal joy in Your presence in the life to come.

We ask this through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end.
AMEN.

Happy Mother’s Day Ma! Love You!

Working and watching movies at the same time?

I was working while watching three movies today. Working and watching at the same time? We’ll that’s me! Very Me! I certainly can’t live without entertainment even at work. Haha. I watched Beverly Hills Chihuahua, My Bestfriend’s Girl and Failure to Launch. The three movies were good. Had a blast laughing alone. Haha.

Beverly Hills Chihuahua is a cute movie with all of those dogs they had. And again my curiousity strikes again. Asking myself how do they do that? How did they make a dog talk like it’s real with all of the lips moving, the emotions from the eyes and the wiggling of their ears? Haha. Obviously, with all the technology nowadays, it’s very possible. Sleek! This movie just makes me wanna have another dog, a cuter one (though we already have Cass – Japanese Spitz – and Nookie -Shitszu).

My Bestfriend’s Girl includes a lot of hilarious scenes. It’s weird and not certainly new to me. Some of the jokes make me burst out laughing and the whole romantic scheme is kinda yawn-inspiring. Eventhough, it kept me entertained.

The last movie I saw for today was Failure to Launch. The concept of the story was kinda new to me. Since it’s kinda weird for an American Man to still live with his parents. Huh! Some of the scenes are ridiculous and childish while some are painful especially the repeated attack of wild animals. But I had fun though, it still made me glued to the screen (even if I’m working). Haha.

So, that’s it for today. Looking ahead for tomorrow. What movie will be for tomorrow? Haha. Need to sleep guys. So that I won’t be late for tomorrow. Hehe. Good Night.

Euro (formerly Drachma)

A schoolmate in highschool texted me, asking for the monetary unit of Greece since he had a 100 bill and wants to convert it in Philippine money. So, I searched on the net and there I found out that the monetary unit of Greece is Euro (formerly Drachma). As of today, May 5, 2009, 100 Euro is equivalent to 6,402.2758 Php. Well, that’s a lot of money. Haha. I hope he would spend it wisely.

At least, I learned something new for today. Hehe. Euro.. Drachma..

Mournday

It’s Monday and it’s Mournday. Back to work as usual. Haha. Tawa na lang. Haha. Tawa ulit. I woke up late today (it’s a habit). Haha. I’m already 25 minutes late of work since I changed my working hours to 9:00 -12:00 and 1:00 – 6:00pm. I don’t want to follow the diabolical flexy time of duty hours. It just makes me wanna sleep all day and work till dawn. Haha.

I already need to log out. Hope I could find something interesting to blog about today. Bye!
